What It Really Feels Like to Live Your Desired Future

There is some type of giggling side of me when on this windy, cold day, I can show up in a morning hot mat Pilates session, get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded, and get coffee after /I’m such a happy gal. Oh, I forgot this most delicious part of me – that I got myself a tuna melt, toasted, and it honestly is the best thing ever. Nonetheless, I want to welcome you to this episode of my life about how to live inside that chosen timeline like you are the god itself…

First things first, before you want to get that desire locked in, you need to know that specific desire that’s been weighing inside of your heart the whole time. After that, you want to start creating this “living as my desire timeline” strategy like a marketing executive strategist… You know… You want to let your reality understand, "This is what I want, so please gently prepare this for me."

The next thing you want to acknowledge is this quote, which just landed inside of my heart, that makes everything click…”The only thing that’s been stopping you is your own fear. " Gosh, I’m like… I knew this until this morning; my mind just gave that thought inside me because she always arrived a little bit late… Anyway, I’m not going to play this blaming game, and I take this as another sign that I knew already: "Life is always moving forward, so do you. "I want you to really acknowledge this moving-forward motion until you can feel it inside your bones. When you really embody that “Already-there-ing”, you simply acknowledge that there is no such thing as “past” or "future", but rather what is happening to you now, and that every movement you make is coming from a place of inevitability. Which means every decision that you make should come from a place of “This will take me to where I want to be."

When you teach yourself that way, reality will simply follow what you’ve been planting inside your belief consistently, and eventually, you will see your desire as the first thing you breathe in the morning. You become someone who doesn’t get swayed easily because life becomes simply just that constant mirror of who you see yourself as, and this time, rather than taking it personally and getting upset, you thank the universe that “oh, so this part is simply the way I used to believe, and you just simply change that.” " I also noticed that when you are in that normalised desire season, you really want to simply listen to what your internal belief assumption is, rather than taking every human or situation to heart. You want to create an identity that is constantly built based on “your preference”, not how this world tells you how to behave, act, move… When it comes to creating the identity that you desire, you want to cut out anyone or anything that was in your way and just stick to what you believe. The only thing that exists in your reality is simply how you see yourself, how you want to be treated, and the type of lifestyle you want to have based on that repetition of how you embody that identity; the rest will be in the universe’s favour. So you want to collaborate with the universe on how you want to create the life that you want, simply based on “living as that desired identity” continuously until the world remembers your name and rearranges the furniture accordingly.

This is how you can create your identity based on what you want:

Having your dream life is never about how amazing you used to be, the life that you experience, or how much “success” you’ve accomplished; rather, it's releasing that old identity and building the new one by starting to inhabit that desired timeline continuously until your nervous system can hold the memory of it and start printing those desires like a quiet press running in the basement of reality, inked by your nervous system.

This is how I let circumstances learn my rhythm:

The thing that really helped me in the beginning was to truly become my own internal assurance support. By that means, every time you want to take that decision or start your day, you simply tell yourself a sentence that will stick inside your mind all day; it can be “Liona, don’t be so dramatic; you are the most courageous person I could ever know” or “Liona, you are such a powerful writer” or "You are not in a hurry, nothing is chasing you, and you are safe” or “You are here, and nothing is collapsing in front of your eyes." You become the only one who will always be there for yourself, so that any external circumstances cannot shake you, and you keep moving forward because you are the keeper of the storyline's pulse.

Another favourite thing I used to do was to take myself for a long walk without any music on. That teaches my system that the only thing that is happening to you is really just “right now, right here”. You want to have that mental discipline to be able to bring your awareness back inside your body. When you consistently live that way, you won’t be stuck in that past illusion of what shaped you, but you keep moving forward to the life that recognizes you on sight. Everything you do simply comes from a place of that persistent feeling, as someone who normalised that reality consistently until your mind creates those false “meaning-making” or “prediction loops” to keep you alive. The more you ignore that, the more your inevitable landscape will keep happening until it becomes the way you move without resistance. You want to slowly teach yourself to keep continuously doing the movement first before letting your mind interrupt you until you take that driver's seat permanently, and your mind stops behaving like a backseat critic and becomes the quiet map folded in the glove compartment.

Lastly, I had to detox from overconsuming social media. I realised I grew up in an environment where content was praised and chased with the same urgency as a craving, turning attention into a habit rather than a choice. And habit will eventually become your identity. So, you want to be super aware of how you want to use your time and attention consciously when you are living in your prewritten horizon. The moment you wake up, you simply continuously rewrite your storyline based on that consistent choice of movement that you do every time. I switched from consuming social media to becoming a library lingerer. It started from reading non-fiction until I simply became someone who can’t live without books next to me. You want to create that identity that matches how your core character normally inhabits their daily life. As normal as when you immediately get that morning coffee for the sake of “This is who I am." And just like that, you step forward, not because the path is clear, but because you finally are.
