There is this quiet inevitability that I took as a wink from the universe when reality started to unfold exactly as it wanted to. It’s like when reality starts taking consistent notes whenever I self-code myself using my thoughts and emotions. It’s exciting but a little bit daunting. Hahaha.
I remembered my first manifestation attempt was that specific moment when I had this conversation with my mum about which subject I should take in university, and I certainly said I wanted to take psychology, but my mum told me to take marketing instead. It was 8 years ago. It started when I learnt about the term 'manifesting', but my true awareness was subconsciously learning about psychology, emotions, patterns, humans, and how this universe works, which somehow led me to having that life coach business, consistently writing my own book, and actively creating content for my social media. Did I ever plan this? Absolutely not. Except that inner belief that I always have it in me: “Life is always moving forward, so did I,” I meant, to be honest, I never really understood those terms until I created enough muscle repetition as someone who already normalized that desire once I had it inside my mind… Everything certainly changed. The thoughts I had became just a passing wind that passed through during the day, rather than my certain emotions becoming just enough of a "wink and nod” from the universe that I am on the right path. Because the truth is, the minute you have a desire that you have inside your mind, it is already yours.
It’s been yours and there the whole time, waiting for you to be released from it. The only thing you can do is live like it, such as by not thinking about that desire but living it. You soaked into it deep enough that reality doesn’t have any choice but to bend to your will. You need to know that the life you have now is simply based on how you’ve been programmed most of your entire life through how your family raised you, your environment, and your culture.
As someone who grew up in survival mode, I found this Neville Goddard YouTube video about manifestation really helped me a lot to create those new possibilities that could happen through my mind, based on what I wanted them to be. His favourite book that I used to read is “Feeling is the Secret", which helps me to train my awareness to focus on that receiving state. These emotions exist based on that constant “outcome control” that you have been subconsciously putting inside your mind, which leads to growth into something called hypervigilance. And when you realise the mind is always catching up late, you can redirect that expired coding into a new belief system, a.k.a. stepping into a life led by joyful creativity.
That leads me to a second point. You need to know what things make you feel safe to begin with. When you have those repetitive memories of what safety looks like, you will always be in that state of moving through life as someone it’s already normal for. Safety is when you can create that illusion of moving forward by always staying in the present moment as someone who belongs to it. The illusion of moving forward for me is that the minute I woke up, I automatically became the one who treats it as inevitable. It’s that enough repetition of who you truly are that your nervous system stops negotiating with you and starts treating it like the only language it knows how to speak. It is by letting your awareness take the main seat rather than using your old reprogrammed mind that expired 10 years ago. It’s like, which radio frequency are you consistently creating until you no longer negotiate but truly live inside it? The more you attune to that frequency, the less it feels like something you have to perform, and the more it becomes something you naturally breathe.
I wrote this piece to explore what safety really means and how it becomes the foundation that keeps your main character's identity intact until it becomes your default.
The thing is, when you're able to create that repetition of moving as if the story had already been written, everything becomes normal, and you get to pick whatever storyline that you want for your life. The only tools you need to use are your thoughts and emotions. An important side I want to tell you is when the thoughts of “I want this” occur in your head, it simply means you are living as someone who “wants”, not “being”…. Your subconscious mind is only able to read that state of emotions you are in during your daily activities. Back to my previous story about how my mum wanted me to finish that marketing degree, and I did it, but towards the end, I was still living as someone who experienced what the psychology industry was, and the bonus points were having my own business about something that I love + writing for my own book + creating content through my social media. It is never about how hard you think of that desire (a.k.a., visualising or words of affirmation) but rather stabilising yourself in the identity where it’s already normalised. You just need to give one of those thoughts about your desire and then gently move on from it. You should always do the movement first to get that clarity, aka that mind-meaning-making, rather than doing the opposite. When you start to notice your “desire” appears, rather than you entertaining it, you simply metabolise it like someone who is already living inside of it.
"Someone who already has her own yacht” = normal
“Someone who lives in her mansion” = normal
“Someone who has a pink Porsche 911" = normal
The key is to normalise it until your mind doesn’t keep lingering around those specific things that you’ve “wanted”. Hello, when your mind is still lingering around those thoughts, your subconscious mind sees that as “you are thinking” rather than “being” in that life experience. Start to calibrate your system to the version of you who already lives it by freeing yourself from that old reprogram based on who you used to be, and start normalising your desired outcome until it doesn’t create that spike inside of you anymore. You want to consciously create that new brand of meaning-making life experience based on how you value yourself.
The only direction that I let my mind digest is by always letting her think: “What’s here that moves me 1%?” We focused on what is happening right now. Not past or future, but now. What action, right now, belongs to that version? We want to make our nervous system so boring AF that she doesn’t negotiate who she is anymore, rather than aligning with what we’ve been doing with that PDF reality of who we actually are.
I also have my daily “forward ritual” to keep myself anchored with. I love doing long walks without any music on to keep that continuous rhythm of “moving forward”. When I woke up, the next thing I did was write 2-3 paragraphs about who I am to give that nudge reminder of "This is a new beginning.” Lastly, I love to read before I go to sleep. Reading really brings my mind into that state of novelty spark that I never knew I had in me.
This internal rehearsal of a life that keeps unfolding ahead will eventually make that “forward” illusion shrink and turn into my default system in my body. Once it becomes one inside, everything becomes aligned with your intention. The only thing you need to go on with your life is to be with yourself. And that’s enough of a statement to make you believe that you deserve to get anything you want to experience in your lifetime. So everything you desire stops feeling like a question and starts responding to you like a decision. There is never such a thing as “end game” or “final destination” until you say so.
